Latin American Finance Association

Mission

The mission of Latin American Finance Association (LAFA hereafter) is twofold. First, to advance and disseminate high-quality research in finance by Latin Americans. Second, to promote highly impactful research on topics that address meaningful challenges facing individuals, organizations and countries in the Latin American region, and that are relevant for finance practice and theory. The research focus is finance, broadly defined.

Announcements

Our next seminar will be on December 2nd, at 10 AM EST (New York time zone). The presenters will be Mauricio Larraín Errázurriz, from the Financial Market Commission in Chile (website) and Lorena Keller, from the University of Pennsylvania (website). Lorena will present "The Role of Family Networks in First-Credit Access" and Mauricio will present "Reducing Leverage While Increasing Delinquency Risk."
